Mr. Son Kimsa is a Cambodian who has been working for Active People’s Microfinance Institution Plc since 2014, starting as general staff. In 2015 he was promoted to Assistant Manager and then appointed as Branch Manager in 2016. In 2018, he was appointed as the General Manager. In 2024, he was assigned as The Chief Operating Officer. With more than 10 years of career in the financial sector, together with APMFI Family; following APMFI’s Mission and Vision, they have been contributing to Improvement of Cambodian People’s Standard of Living.
Mrs. Chea Thida, a Cambodian, has joined Active People as Head of Compliance since April 2021. She currently holds a Master degree of Business Administration in Private Law and Economics from Build Bright University. In 2017, she completed a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cambodia, and in 2009, she completed a Bachelor degree of Accounting and Finance from Build Bright University. Actively, she has been involved in many years of training and experiences in the financial sector as Head of Accounting and Finance. For the past 10 years, she has been working with Active People in several positions including: Head of Accounting and Finance, Head of Business Planning and Marketing, Head of Human Resources and General Affairs. Currently, she takes a role as Head of Compliance.
Mr. Kay Vuthy has joined Active People’s Microfinance Institution Plc as Head of Internal Audit since December 2024. he has more than 14 years of experience in audit field at microfinance institutions, telecommunication and healthcare industries, starting from audit officer until the Head of internal audit.
He has attended various courses during his career path such as, internal audit management, risk analysis for business lending, solving problem and critical thinking, microfinance and financial management, international financial reporting standard so on. For education, In 2010, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration, majoring in accounting, from Human Resources University, and a Master’s degree of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Mekong University of Cambodia in 2015.
Ms. Seng Chanda has been working for Active People’s Microfinance Institution Plc since March 2015 by holding the position as interpreter and secretary of CEO, and she has been assigned ass Head of Finance. Before working for Active People’s Microfinance Institution Plc, she had worked for Business Partner Co.,Ltd for 1 year. For education, she has finished a Bachelor Degree of Education in English, from Royal University of Phnom Penh in 2005, and got her Master Degree in Education from Nihon University in Japan in 2011. She is now pursuing ACCA through CamEd Business School.
Mr. Ishikawa Masaki, Japanese, he has been working at Active People’s Microfinance Institution Plc as Corporate Planning Leader since April 2024. He has contributed to budgeting, business performance monitoring, credit policy improvement, branch expansion, marketing initiatives, and organizational management. In December 2024, he was promoted to Head of Administrative, where he supports the company’s business growth through administrative leadership and cross-functional coordination.
Mr. Ek Sindeng, a Cambodian who joined APMFI in June 2015 as IT Manager. For experience, he had more than five years of experience as a Senior Information Technology Officer and had extensive experience in web design and development. He graduated with a Bachelor degree of Science in Computer Science and Engineering in 2009 from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Master degree of Business Administration in 2012 from the National University of Management.
